Award Categories

The 32 award categories cover the entire range of packaged products. The number of entries per company or product is not restricted; each product may enter multiple categories.

  • EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL – Includes all packaged extra virgin olive oils, early harvest, wild olive oils, and herb-infused or enhanced olive oils from the current olive-growing season.
  • OLIVES – All packaged olives are included in this category.
  • HONEY – Includes all categories of packaged honey and honey products.
  • HERBS / SPICES / SALT – Includes herbs, spices, salt, pepper, and other solid seasonings.
  • VINEGAR / CONDIMENT – Includes all packaged vinegars, mustards, dressings, sauces, etc.
  • SAVORY DISH – Includes all packaged savoury foods, whether pasteurized, fresh, or spreads.
  • READY MEAL – Includes ready-to-eat foods, whether raw, pre-cooked, or ready-to-serve.
  • BAKED GOOD / FLOUR – Includes bakery goods, bread, and flour.
  • PASTRY PRODUCTS – Includes all pastry and dessert products.
  • SWEET SPREAD – Includes packaged sweet spreads, such as jams, pralines, etc.
  • CHOCOLATE – Includes packaged chocolate and its derivatives, such as pralines, chocolates, etc.
  • NUT BUTTER/DRY NUTS – Includes all nut butter, nuts, dried fruits, and their derivatives.
  • BISCUIT / BAR / SNACK – Includes packaged snacks, such as biscuits, bars, breadsticks, cookies, sesame snacks, etc.
  • PASTA / LEGUME / RICE – Includes packaged pasta, trachanas, legumes, rice, and their derivatives.
  • CEREAL – Includes all packaged cereals and their derivatives.
  • BEVERAGE / DRINK / JUICE – Packaged beverages include coffee, herbal teas, cocoa drinks, plant-based beverages, and juices.
  • WINES / ALCOHOLIC DRINKS – Includes all packaged alcoholic beverages, such as wines, liqueurs, ouzo/tsipouro, and spirits.
  • BREWERIES / BEERS – Includes all brewery products.
  • DAIRY PRODUCT – Includes dairy products such as milk, creams, rice puddings, yoghurts, butter, etc., and their derivatives.
  • CHEESE – Includes all packaged cheeses and cheese derivatives.
  • DELI MEAT / MEAT – Includes all packaged cold cuts and meats and their derivatives.
  • PICKLED / SMOKED FISH – Includes all packaged cured fish and fish derivatives.
  • NATURAL COSMETICS – Includes all-natural cosmetics, such as soaps, personal care products, face and body creams, lotions, etc.
  • ORGANIC PRODUCT – Includes products derived from organic cultivation.
  • INNOVATIVE PRODUCT – Includes products that are rare or groundbreaking in the market, either through production processes, ingredients, identity, or market positioning.
  • NEW PRODUCT – Includes products created or launched after January 1, 2022.
  • SPECIAL DIET PRODUCT – Includes products catering to specific dietary needs, such as vegetarian, vegan, raw, gluten-free, sugar-free, etc.
  • REGIONAL PRODUCT OF LOCALITY – Includes products that showcase the distinctive qualities of their production location, using local natural (climate, soil, biodiversity) and cultural resources (traditional techniques and skills).
  • REVIVED CULTIVATION PRODUCT – Includes products that highlight ingredients or cultivation methods used historically.
  • TRADITIONAL PRODUCT – Includes products based on traditional preparation, preservation, and recipes, such as traditional sweets, spoon sweets, halvah, almond cookies, bougatsa, perek, etc.
  • PACKAGING DESIGN/BRANDING – Includes products with a strong visual identity that narrates the product story directly and effectively.
  • SPECIALIST PRODUCER OF THE YEAR – Open to top producers known for high-quality raw materials, product uniqueness, and exceptional market presence. The top producers achieving over 80% in the 40 criteria set by the judges will receive this award. Those entering this category will receive a questionnaire that must be completed by the company representatives.
    This category is excluded from participation packages and requires an additional fee of €120 plus VAT.
